My Book Mini-books on Literature
Many homeschoolers choose to use literature and books to teach rather than textbooks.
Literature comes in a variety of genres and styles, with categories progressing from word books to picture books then chapter books and finally novels. Through the study of literary elements such as character, setting, theme, plot, and style, each book we allow our children to read comes alive to tell unique and living stories. To help our children get the most out of what they read, we created My Books Mini-books about various works of literature. From picture books to novels, we have allowed our children to demonstrate reading comprehension and reading analysis through open narration or prompted recall writing or drawing activities. We have witnessed for ourselves and heard positive feedback from other families about how these little books have helped their children transition from oral narration to beginning written narration. This is no small feat really. Our offerings are always increasing, so stop by often or sign-up for our e-newsletter to keep track of new additions.
