History is a great subject that teaches us about people, places, events and of course, time.

We learn a lot about the present and sometimes, even the future, by studying events of the past. Much knowledge can be gained from those who came before us, like Jesus Christ, the great theologians, the saints, and many others. Our hope in studying history is use the information we gather, along with the gifts of the Holy Spirit bestowed upon us at Confirmation - wisdom, counsel, knowledge, understanding, fortitude, piety, and fear of the Lord, to gain a true sense of how the Lord wants us to live, grow, and bring others to know Him.
