Organizing a whole year of learning for our children is hard work.  As part of our calling as Catholic parents to be the first teachers of our children, we need to make sure we cover all of the important subjects.  Although our little ones need the 3rs of reading, writing and arithmetic, worldly subjects such as science, history, foreign language, and geography, they also need faith development to benefit to grow personal, familial, and community relationships as well.  Trying to select, organize, and order all of these needs into a workable and doable yearly learning plan can feel quite overwhelming.

Over the years we have created different sheets to use to help us plan our days, weeks, months, years, units, and purchases.  We gladly share them with you in hopes of making your planning sessions easier and your homeschool days smoother.

Keep in mind that each person's organizational style is different and what works and is comfortable for one person may not work for another.  So if you are new to homeschooling and feel overwhelmed, just take a deep breath and relax, and try out a few styles until you find something you like and that works for you.

Weekly Planning Sheets For Homeschoolers

Daily Planning Sheets

These sheets take planning things out one day at a time.  Find block style sheets with subject prompts for easy at a glance planning.  We have also included some journal style sheets that the kids use for assignment logs as I have seen moms use them for planning purposes too.

Weekly Planning Sheets

These sheets focus on organizing lessons and such by weeks.  Find log styles as well as boxed styles with pre-filled subjects.  Some sheets are especially handy for Charlotte Mason method learners who take nature walks or those families who use the Before Five In A Row curriculum.  Sheets can be mixed and matched for easy printing and binding in a 3-ring binder, comb spine, duo-tang, or pronged folder.

Monthly Planning Sheets

Monthly Planning Sheets

These special sheets were create for use in my CCD Religious Ed class as they are for monthly planning of one subject with a weekly focus.  They work very well for specific subjects and were designed to be used with one of our printable calendars.
