    Math Multiplication and Division Games

Learners gain multiplication and division skills by practicing and using them over and over again.  Some kids learn best by chanting the times tables and skip counting, others by completing worksheets, and still others learn best by playing games.  Consider using games as a way to teach your children basic math concepts; or at the very least use games to vary reinforcement practice.

Focus:  Simple addition, addition fact families from 4 to 12

Have fun learning how to add money and multiply at the same time.  Children figure out prices for the daily special and multiply by the number of customers who purchase the daily special.  Create a pile of customers and a pile of specials and pick one of each to play the game.  Keep track using the receipt sheets provided.

    Hexaflash Math Cards

    Hexaflash Multiplication and Division Cards

    Age: Elem+

Focus:  Multiplication/division practice from one set of flashcards.  Self correcting.

Have children practice simple multiplication and division facts using number families and common multiple associations.  Numbers begin with one and go up to 25.  You can also use these cards to help children figure out multiples, least common multiples between numbers. Prime number recognition can also be improved by playing with these resources as well.
