What's our philosophy?
If
we had to describe our philosophy in one blurb it would be:
"Get outta the box! God isn't in there!"
As we developed this site we tried to keep a few things in mind:
- Learning should be fun, easy and economical.
- Christ should always be at the centre of our lives especially when it comes to learning and teaching our children.
- If you know how to recognize it, God's glory can be found in just about anything.
- It is essential to know how to think for oneself.
- Learning can happen anytime, anyplace, with all kinds of different mediums and resources.
- Learning is a life long process.
Like most Catholic homeschoolers, we are dealing with limits of time, energy, and funding. We are constantly bombarded by the modern secular world that attempts to erode our faith and tear down the very foundation that draws us to homeschool our children. The trick to survival in these fast-paced times is to use our modern devices to strengthen our faith and service to our families. Yes, it can be done and technology need not be scary.
Who are we?
We are a Catholic homeschooling family from British Columbia, Canada trying to live at the foot of the cross for God's greater glory. We are dedicated to homeschooling our children in a fun, God-centered way adhering to Canon Law and helping other families to do the same. We believe that technology is an essential tool in the home education of our children and ourselves. Through efficient and practical usage, technology can help ALL families access resources they need for an economical, well-rounded, and fun education that can also keep them close to the Lord.
Thatresourcesite.com was a family apostolate ministry project begun in 2008.
