Science Definition Cards For Homeschoolers
Some children like to know what new words mean. Other learners could skip that step and use context to figure things out for themselves. In science, it is best to know exactly what things mean. Traditionally children write terms in their notebooks or on loose leaf. If they are anything like most children, those sheets are used only for a test and never seen again. To combat this, we created these definition cards for older learners.
These learning cards allow learners to define words and them refer to them again and again in trivia type games, quick reviews on the go or even before bed. They are very appealing. They are also great to use with any curriculum you may be currently using or any resources you may have on hand at home or can easily acquire from the library or the internet.
Once completed, these cards could be used for any number of activities and games. They could be laminated and taken on fieldtrips to zoos, pet stores, woodland parks and more. These have been very well received by our children and other homeschooling families as well.
Find sets below which include a number of different topics including cells, creation, classification and more. To create these resources, download and print out sheets, cut apart on lines. Fill in the info on the sheets then fold on dotted lines and glue to complete. Laminate finished cards for longevity and durability, if desired.
